Nathon lyon: ‘you don’t write off champions like virat kohli’

Nathon lyon is refusing to write-off the out-of-form Virat Kohli.

The first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is on November 22 in Perth – the focus is on Virat Kohli as the match draws closer.
And while many have doubted the batting icon’s comeback from a poor stint in red-ball cricket since 2020,
Australia’s top spinner Nathan Lyon believes a champion player like Kohli is always a threat.

Nathon Lyon said: Look at his record out here. Overall, look at his record. You don’t write off champions. I’ve got nothing but respect for
Virat. Him and smithy are probably the best batters in our last era of this last decade. It’s been pretty amazing competing
against him for so many times. I want to get him out, there’s no point in hiding behind that, but it’s challenging.Lyon said that the things Virat Kohli has achieved through his performances in his career cannot be ignored just because he has not scored many runs recently.

Nathan Lyon, who has taken 530 wickets in 129 matches for Australia, has played a major role in Australia’s bowling. He will try to put the out of form kohli under pressure right from the start of the series.

Since first tour of australia in 2011-2012 ,kohli has scored 1352 runs in 25 innings across 13 tests at an average of 54.08, including 6 hundred and 4 fifties. This is amazing.

India have won the series on their last two Test tours of Australia and have held the title for the past decade.
